Adopt a duck and support OC kids! It's the 17th Annual Mighty Rubber Duck Derby!

Join us at HB Mazda on Sunday, Sept. 19, from noon until 4:00 for a massive Adopt A Duck Day!

We'll be holding a raffle for all of you who adopt a duck that day and should you win...your prize is cold, hard cash from Huntington Beach Mazda...and plenty of it for some duck feed!

So here's a shout out to Orange County: Won't you please adopt a duck with us, as the OC Auto Team joins forces with the OC Children's Bureau in the support of some deserving and terrific OC kids?

Save the Date - 17th Annual Mighty Rubber Ducky Derby, October 3, 2010

Come join us as 15,000 yellow rubber ducks float down the Lazy River at Wild Rivers Waterpark in Irvine to raise funds for Children's Bureau. Adopt a duck for $10 to get one park admission. All rides will be open. Or be a Very Important Duck and also enjoy food from great local restaurants, entertainment and a flock of fun silent auction items. Your $90 ticket includes access to the Very Important Duck Reception in the private African Queen area along with complimentary parking, preferred race viewing and four racing ducks. Children's Congress

Jennifer Heumann and Heather Faland, both of Huntington Beach, were two of 300 children across the country chosen to represent JDRF Orange County at the 2005 and 2007 JDRF Children’s Congresses in Washington, D.C. Delegates go to Washington, D.C., to tell their elected officials and the world what it is like to live with diabetes and why providing funding to help find a cure is so important. Children’s Congress is designed to educate our federal elected officials about the issues surrounding children living with juvenile diabetes. The children selected from chapters around the country have a powerful story to tell, and they are incredibly effective in securing funding for type 1 diabetes research.
