"We would like to thank and congratulate everyone who participated in our 2008 Walk to Cure Diabetes. Because of your hard work and dedication, we are close to raising more than $1 million.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to all of our Sponsors, Team Captains and Walk day volunteers. And thank you to the Corporate Teams for your hard work and energetic persistence, bringing many new walkers into the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Family. Our Corporate Teams collectively raised $300,000.
We also appreciate and thank the Family Teams, whose passion for finding a cure for diabetes helps bring in dollars for research year after year. Our Family Teams collectively raised $400,000. Mark your calendars! Our 2009 Walk to Cure Diabetes has a working date of Sunday, November 8, 2009, at the University of California, Irvine. Join thousands of others as we walk together to raise money and find a cure for diabetes."
